September Blog Hop Inspiration

I used Brusho's, red, yellow & orange after white embossing the Autumn Adornments stamp, then sprayed with water to let it react.  Love it .
The label is one I had that I stamped with this sentiment from the same set along with a swirl and some leaves.  I then added white pigment ink to get the chalkboard look.

Momma Elephant Up & Away.  Colleen somehow got two of the dies for this set so she gave one to me and while I was visiting I stamped a bunch of the Stamp set.
 MFT Double Stitched Squares
I'm not very good or fast with Shaker cards but this one went together pretty well.  I can't seem to gauge how many sequins to put in the bags.  I think this one is a little too full.

Create Along With Us - September 2015

Well, I have finally created a card for this challenge and it wasn't easy.  I really struggled trying to use foil, (It's not as easy as Jennifer makes it look)  Ended up just using foil paper and that was much easier.
I used this card by Heather as my inspiration

NBUS #5 - Darnell's Challenge -3 - Thanks Darnell

This is another Stamps of Life set.  I joined the stamp club where they send you the stamp of the month because I don't usually buy these type of stamps.  I really like flowers so that's what I usually buy.   So this is my way of getting some different stamp sets to add to my collection.  Some are a bit quirky.

SOL - Watermelon 2 stamp, border colored with Copics, large piece stamped with PTI's New Leaf & Pure Poppy
I actually, cut the diagonal to put the border of watermelons in but couldn't see it so added the black strips.  What do you think with or without the stripes?
Wink of Stella and some sequins.

NBUS #5- Darnell's Challenge - 2

NBUS
A second card for Darnell's NBUS challenge.

This is a Stamps of Life - T-Shirt 2 Stamp    I used Brushos on a sheet of paper when I was at Colleen's, one of the new things we were trying at her house.  It was sitting on my desk and I thought hmmm, that looks like tye-dye and this t-shirt would be perfect except I had to fussy cut and I'm not too fond of fussy cutting, but it looked pretty easy so ta-dah...
MFT - Double Stitched Squares, BG stamp Romantic Script
Darice - Diagonal stripes embossing folder
PTI - Double Ended Banner - Balloon Bash, Berry Sorbet cardstock
Clear Wink of Stella on flowers with some bling....

Guest Designer for Merry Monday #171

Here is a second card that I made.

Imagine my surprise when I was chosen as the winner of Merry Monday and asked to be the Guest Designer for the next challenge.  And so ecstatic..... Thank you for choosing my card.....
So here is my card using the Sentiment as the focal point.
Colleen and I had just been taking a class on Craftsy on watercoloring taught by Deepti and this is one of the techniques we used.

Tag You're It #30

After spending about 2 weeks with Colleen, I am back in my room creating alone.  We had such a great time together as always.  You'd think we would run out of things to talk about, but we don't.

I saw the Tag You're It challenge and decided to give it a try.  I am slightly challenged when it comes to making cupcake cards.  They just don't turn out so great.  I had some miscellaneous stamps that I gave to my granddaughter and so do not have any cupcake stamps.
So a sweet blogger friend, Marybeth sent me some cupcake images a few months ago when I announced I didn't have a single cupcake stamp.
Anyway, thought I would try again when I saw the Tag You're It Challenge

And still not liking mine.  Don't know what it is.  I was happy until I tried to color in the sprinkles and just have a hard time keeping them in the lines.  Grrrr......And I should have left the little frame white.  Oh well, here it is.

Two More Watercolor Techniques by Deepti

This method is using a tissue to create clouds in the sky and then stamping with PTI's  Up, Up & Away and then watercolored with Distress Inks.

Using salt on wet water color to create texture.

One More Card - Watercoloring with Deepti

Another card taking Distress ink to paper and then spritzing with water for this effect.  Using a brush to help it move and blend.
Then stamped Pine Trees from Impression Obsession.  I must admit this is not my original creation, but a CASE of Colleen's masterpiece.  Her's was so beautiful, I just had to make one, too.

More Cards using Deepti's Watercoloring Techniques

These cards are embossed with white embossing powder and then wet on wet watercoloring.  Wet the whole thing with water and then drop in the colors.

Stamping with Colleen - Learning new Watercolor Techniques with Deepti

We are taking a watercolor class from Craftsy and the instructor is Deepti.  This was an awesome class and showed us all kinds of new techniques and how to achieve them.
Since these are not being entered into any challenges, I thought I could post them all here. The first two cards are using the Ombre watercolor method.  The third is to color in the flowers with watercolor.
The first Halloween card is watercoloring the background in one color and I decided to make a Shaker card with it.  We are trying out the Fuse and not having much success with it, but will persevere.
The second one is wet on wet watercolor and then adding more color around the images.
