Make It Monday #265 with Lizzie Layered Dry Brush

My card for MIM this week
Didn't think I was going to be able to play.  I do not have any white acrylic paint so tried stamping pigment white ink on a block and then adding the refill.  Tried several times just couldn't get a good panel.  Tried just the ink from the pad and  that didn't work either.  Finally tried just refills on a block and after several tries got one I liked enough to use.  Couldn't get the brush lines to show very well.

PTI's Green Parakeet & Spring Rain for background.  Flowers are Amethyst Allure, Royal Velvet and Summer Sunrise on Forget Me Not

Merry Monday #219 Use Birds

Sue's challenge this week is to use birds on your card.  And this is a challenge for me as somehow I have a hard time making cards with birds that look good.  I used this cute MFT Season's Tweetings image and colored with Copics.  You can't go wrong with this little cutie.

The Paper Players #317 Clean & Simple Leaf with Nance

I guess I really was thinking Spring or Summer, no turning leaves.  It's just I've made several cards lately in the oranges & yellows that I was ready for another color.
I am entering this on The Paper Players

PTI Meadow Greens, Turning a New Leaf in Green Parakeet, Aqua Mist, Green Parakeet pattern paper,
Avery Elle Scallop Border Dies

I used the leaves above to make the card below as a stencil for a technique on MIM this week by Melissa (see previous post).
These were left over leaves and I liked how they came out so thought I could use them for another card and enter in The Paper Players.

Thanks for stopping by.

PTI's Make It Monday #264 with Melissa Die Cut Stencil Shapes

This is a great technique by Melissa, which you can view here: MIM
I really like how this came out
PTI's Meadow Greens, Turning a New Leaf in Green Parakeet, Aqua Mist, Soft Stone & Smokey Shadow
The leaf in the middle is what I used as one of my shapes that I sponged around.  I loved how it turned out so decided to use it on my card.

Melissa Cards are so soft and beautiful.

Imagine my surprise when I was asked to be the Guest Designer for The Heart Desires for the months of October & November.

This is my first card for October where I chose to use the Colors and Large Sentiment
Thanks ladies for inviting me to be your GD.

I picked up a few items form The Heart Desires Shop

Create Along with Us October 2016

I made some tags for this week's Create Along With Us.  I was inspired by Ashley's tags she created.  They seemed easy and I needed some tags.
I used my Ziggy's to put on color and then spritzed them with water.  Let them dry and then stamped with Wet Paint Holiday stamp set.

Here are Ashley's

CAS Watercolor October

Another card for CAS Watercolour
Hope this qualifies for CAS, there is lots of white space at the top, not so much at the bottom.
Again, it took me numerous times to get this right, but finally came up with something I liked.
I used Distress Inks to stamp on some Art Impressions Foliage and a couple of images from WPlus 9 Fresh Cut Florals & Coming Up Roses, then used an Aqua paint brush to soften the edges with water to get the watercolor look.

CAS Mix Up October -2 Ghosting

A second card for CAS Mix Up
Really like how this one came out.  I sponged on Distress Ink and spritzed water on the Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp and stamped.  Tried several times but wasn't getting a crisp image.  Finally figured I need to wipe it with a paper towel before it spread too much.  The reason it is cut like it is because the top flower had spread too much so didn't want to re-do again.
