CAS Class Day 4 Maile Belles, Formal

My last card for the evening.  Maile's CAS front and center (formal) card.  This beautiful butterfly is from PTI's Pretty Peonies.  I couldn't resist another butterfly.  This time I decided to leave off the glitter strip.  I will not be in my craft room tomorrow, because my grandson who is in the 4th grade is in a Spelling Bee Contest either for district or regionals.  So I am going to go cheer him on.  Wish us luck.  So, see you on Saturday....

CAS Class Day 4 - Maile Bells Technique

My card using Maile's clean and simple look.  As I was getting ready to post I looked at her card and was reminded about the glitter strip.  Unfortunately, I did not a color that matched any of the balloons.  This color was the closet I had to the pink.  Oh well, plus it looks crooked again.   I really love her style.

CAS Day 4 - Kristina's Chalkboard Technique

I used PTI's Ocean Tides paper which also has the look of the old green chalkboards.  The top line ended up being crooked, so I made another one but the center in the middle of the phone was off and looked worse, so I went with this one.  I rarely get those middle stamps right in the center.  This is so great.  My BFF, Colleen and I skype together and it is like we are in the same room stamping together.

CAS Class Day 4 Julie's Watercolor method

These are the two cards I made using Julie's method.  I used PTI's In Bloom stamp set.  I used a silver glitter pen (not sure if you can see in picture) in the center of each flower tracing the lines and then added a little pearl bling to each center on both cards.  Another great technique.  Loving this class.

CAS Day 3 - Using Labels - Shari

I mistakenly gave credit to Debbie for this technique, but it was actually Shari.  My apologies.
Here is my card using labels demonstrated by Shari.  This was not quite as easy as she made it look.  Peeling the labels was the tricky part.  I actually like how it turned out though.  Not usually my style of card.

CAS Class Day 3 - Kristina's technique

This is my card I made using Kristina's technique stamping twice with second image offset a little.  I struggled with this one too.  The first card I made ended up being way too busy so I threw that one away and started over.  I am happier with this one.

CAS Class - 2 Day 3 Gradient Stamping

I struggled with this a bit, but finally came up with this card.  I just love butterflies.  I used the same colors from the background in the butterflies.

CAS Day 2 Embossing

This is the card which I made using an embossed image using Debbie's technique.  This is a die cut that I reversed and got the embossed image.  I had to cover up a mistake with the 3 white pearls.  What a great day of card making.

CAS Class Day 2 - Watercolors

This is one of the watercolor methods that Jennifer showcased in her video today.  I did the first one with black ink then remembered she used a light ink so you don't see the lines and it looks more like you painted it.  She also did it in black and I really like it better in the black ink.  I then again used her masking technique.

CAS Class Day 2

This was the card I made using Julie's challenge.  I did however use Jennifer's technique for masking.  I had some tiny, beads that I used as my glitter strips.

CAS -2 Card Class - 3

This is the card similar to the one Julie made for the 1st day of Clean & Simple Card Class #2.

Clean & Simple Card Making Class - 2 - 1

My second card was using Jennifer's masking technique, which I have had trouble doing in the past.  But I think I have it down now.   I like the technique a lot.

Clean & Simple Card Making Class - 2

My BFF gave me a gift card for the Clean and Simple Card Making Class -2 for Christmas.
Today is day 1 and this was one of the cards similar to the one made by Kristina.  You can't see it on the card, but I put a few drops of Aqua Mist ink in a spritz bottle with a little water and used my quatrefoil die cut to spray on it.  It does show up a little bit.  Maybe need more ink.

January Blog Hop - 3

Had to make one more Blog Hop card with some color.  I used Pretty Peonies and Mat Stack #1 stamps and die.  The color is Raspberry Fizz and the patterened paper is some my BFF gave to me.

January Blog Hop -2

This time I used Fancy Florals with Lemon Tart Centers.

January Blog Hop

This is the first card I made for PTI's Blog Hop using With All My Heart.
I embossed with white and then rubbed Scarlet Jewel on the white embossed area.  It didn't get as red as I wanted it to.

Ok, so this time I meant to turn the hearts off kilter but don't think I did it enough.  It looks like I just didn't get it straight.  And I think I added one too many hearts on the white, (the dotted swiss one.)
