Triplet Update Halloween, Trip to the Ocean & Santa Picture

It has been quite a while since I posted an update on those babies who are toddlers now.
Halloween photo shoot didn't go too well for Justin. He didn't like the spider around his neck and I don't blame him.  Ramie thinks she's scarred him for life.  And as you will see in the last picture, it is Justin again crying with Santa.  Poor baby.  He seems to be the sensitive one.  You can tell when his little lip just starts quivering.

Justin, Connor & Anna

We went to the Pumpkin Patch on the day before Halloween and the patch was pretty bare and this was the second one we went to.  The kids had so much fun though.  Behind us is a hay stack for pictures.

They had a special day at the Portland Zoo for Halloween and the kids dressed up as dragons.
The night of Halloween, the door would ring and the babies ran to the door to see who was there and Anna started handing out the candy.  All you would see is these cute little tails scurrying to the door.  So adorable....

Newport Beach- Babies first trip to the Ocean and they had a great time.
We were supposed to go on MTW but Ramie had to fly to get her mom from the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota where she was getting a second opinion.  Unfortunately, she has  chronic lung disease and has to be on oxygen the rest of her life.  She stayed with Ramie's sister in Seattle for a week and then came back with Ramie.
Anyway, they changed their plans to go to the ocean on W-F and we had to go to dad's on Friday so were not able to go and as it turned out Kelly invited us for Thanksgiving dinner so we went up a day early and dinner with them.  We had an early Thanksgiving with Brad & Ramie, the older girls and Ramie's sister's family and Col and Scott.

Time out for lunch

 Fun on the beach.

And lastly, a visit with Santa.  Apparently, when Ramie tried to put Anna on Santa's lap she started crying too.  So Justin wasn't the only one afraid of Santa.  In fact, I have a picture of Brad crying while on Santa's lap with his arm stretched out for me to get him.

Unfortunately, since the day after Thanksgiving we have all been sick with flu like symptoms.  First it started with Brad, then Ramie, the babies have colds, and Rhonda came down with it last Wednesday (when we had to watch the babies & Avery Wednesday through Thursday) and me a couple days later.  It was our first overnight watching the babies.  Rhonda and I spent the whole weekend binge watching A Million Little Things and New Amsterdam.  And I have not yet been able to set a time to spend in my craft room.

AAA Cards #153 & CAS Watercolour Nov. 2019

Two cards for two challenges
The first challenge is to use CAS and One Image + Optional twist Shimmer
And the second challenge was Monochromatic
First, I embossed the butterflies with clear embossing powder then used my Ziggies to watercolor both  Avery Elle Butterflies.
My Bff, Colleen gave me the two background pieces so I do not know the name of them.
The yellow piece behind the butterfly was from my stash
I did use a little shimmer on the black portion of the wings but hard to see.
It was fun to make something other than a Christmas card.

Hope you have been joining us all year long and you have most of your cards done, cause there is only one more month left.  Yikes, how does that happen?

A wonderful time was had by all as we met in Nashville, IN for a craft retreat hosted by Brenda of Inksprired to stamp and her Sister in law, Sharon. These ladies worked so hard preparing meals, planning a fun filled week of crafting and making us feel right at home.
It was so great to meet new crafters, Maria, Brenda & Sharon and seeing old friends once again, Kara, Darnell & Greta.
Colleen, Darnell and Brenda shared new techniques with us and Kara gave us one on one help with Copic coloring.   Crafting friends are truly the best.

I was finally able to get into my craft room and finish up some cards that we started at the retreat.

The first two were cards that Darnell helped us with using Ziggies,
The third is an Altenew stamp set that Darnell was giving away and I was the lucky one to get it.
And the third was a technique that Colleen showed us by scribbling with Copics and then adding some Nuvo glitter (stuff) to it for a beautiful sparkly card.  Not sure what the full name of the glitter is called.
And the forth was help from Kara on my Copic coloring.  Plus a piece of background of Color Bursts on Yuppo paper that Darnell showed us.

These items are still ones I need to make something from.  The two outside ones were techniques that Brenda showed us and I'm sorry I don't remember the names of these either.  Faux metallic is about the best I can do.
The one in the middle and the butterflies were techniques that Darnell showed us.
Color bursts on Yuppo paper and die cutting on a napkin and then dropping on watercolors.
We had so much fun and so enjoyed making memories with new and old friend.

CAS Christmas October 2019 Challenge

It feels great to start up again on CAS Christmas
After a long and stressful summer, selling our house and moving down to Oregon, I finally had a day to play in my craft room with my Bff, Colleen
It took me 3 tries to make this card.  The vision was there but the stamping was not.  Lol...
I like how it finally turned out.
I used PTI's Winter Snow Globe die and stamp set, embossed the snow and globe bottom with embossing powder and colored Santa with Copics.   FYI, the sentiment is meant to be squiggly, so it isn't  crooked.

Susan is hosting our challenge this month, and wants to see our Winter Scenes.  Come join us as there isn't much time left before Christmas.  It seems like I was just saying that about last Christmas...

Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome back to my Blog - Move update and Triplet Pictures

After a long and stressful summer we are finally settled in Portland and I am ready to start crafting again.  We sold our house and had to be out by August 28th.  And up to a week before that time we had no place to go except to stay with Brad & Ramie's.  Then we got a call that the house we wanted to rent had come down to us and we actually qualified for it.  There were at least 3 others that were ahead of us. So here we are.
I really have missed crafting.  Colleen and I have crafted twice (once in my room and once in her's)  She has been over many times as she is only about 10 minutes away from my house and also took us driving around to show us around.
Next Saturday, Col and I leave for Indianapolis to meet Brenda of Inspired to Stamp for a Craft Retreat.  Darnell, Greta, Maria, Kara and Brenda's sister 'n law will be also attending.  So a fun week to look forward to and hope to get my mojo up and running.
Now for the real reason for moving down to Oregon is for these 3 sweet little babies.  We are less than 5 minutes away from them.  That is so nice.  Some  of these pictures may be duplicates but I didn't really know where I left off.
So thought I would start off with there one year birthday photo shoot
These little people (not really babies anymore) are walking all over the place and love to get chased by one another and the sound of their laughter is so beautiful.  Nothing greater than hearing a baby's laughter....
They just turned 17 months old and are so much fun.  Can you believe that?

Connor, Anna, Justin

After a long day of pictures, the babies were saying.  I think that is enough mom...

Justin, the babies love to climb in to everything.
