Color Throwdown #457 & Addicted to Stamps and More #256 Anything Goes

Wow, we didn't get a lot of card making done today.  First of all we went for our morning walk and then both of us had a massage, which felt great.  My shoulders and lower back have been giving me some trouble.  I think from lifting my dad up.  Then we decided to sit in the sun for about an hour and that felt really good too.
After that we came into the craft room to play and this is the card I made  for Color Throwdown

CAS Watercolour August 2017 using Salt

Another card for CAS Watercolour

This was a small piece that I used salted water on and didn't think I could make anything out of it, but decided to cut a couple butterflies and it worked perfectly.

Rubberneck Butterflies Are Free, Altenew Splatter sponged with Dox inks
PTI Notched Heart Banner Die
Memory Box Sentimental Iris
Nuvo Crystal Drops

CAS Mix Up August Challenge using Alcohol Inks

Finally got a chance and some mojo to create another card with the some of the papers I created with Alcohol Inks.  I started out making this for CAS Watercolor, but the background wasn't right for the color of the butterfies with the salted technique.  So I looked through AI papers and thought this was perfect for the BG.

BG is Altenew Watercolor Stripes Stencil sponged with DOX inks

Color Throwdown #453

A card for Color Throwdown

I loved the bright summer colors of this challenge

MFT's Flashy Florals stamped with CP inks.  I really did use a pink, but on the yellow it looks orange.  I diecut the flowers and then stamped them on the card front.  Then stamped the leaves on the top piece which is then popped up.
Used some clear Wink of Stella.

The Paper Players #317 Clean & Simple Leaf with Nance

I guess I really was thinking Spring or Summer, no turning leaves.  It's just I've made several cards lately in the oranges & yellows that I was ready for another color.
I am entering this on The Paper Players

PTI Meadow Greens, Turning a New Leaf in Green Parakeet, Aqua Mist, Green Parakeet pattern paper,
Avery Elle Scallop Border Dies

I used the leaves above to make the card below as a stencil for a technique on MIM this week by Melissa (see previous post).
These were left over leaves and I liked how they came out so thought I could use them for another card and enter in The Paper Players.

CAS Mix Up October -2 Ghosting

A second card for CAS Mix Up
Really like how this one came out.  I sponged on Distress Ink and spritzed water on the Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp and stamped.  Tried several times but wasn't getting a crisp image.  Finally figured I need to wipe it with a paper towel before it spread too much.  The reason it is cut like it is because the top flower had spread too much so didn't want to re-do again.

Thanks for stopping by.

Creative with Stamps #4 Ink Splatters

Well after several tries, I finally was able to come up with a card to post.   Kept getting too much  spray on the butterflies, so decided to spay the panel first and then die cut the butterflies.

PTI's Butterfly Dreams (I think this is still my favorite butterfly), colored with Copics.  Keep It Simple Get Well,
Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold.
