Make It Monday #295 Z-Fold Card with Ashley

The first card I can post that I made at my friend's house.  I'm down in Portland for 9 days for SAF and just visiting and creating with my BFF.   This is the card I made for Ashley's MIM
I came down on Sunday afternoon to beat the Solar Eclipse traffic.  Ran into most of the traffic in Washington.  Got here about 7:40 pm.  We didn't create that night just visited and caught up.
And of course, we had to view the eclipse on Monday morning.  We drove about 20 minutes away and saw 100% of it but for only about 30-40 seconds.  And it was so awesome.
So we got started crafting late and ran into problems with computers and getting me set up so we could both post without signing in or out.  So needless to say we are having to sign in and out, so if you get a comment that doesn't sound like one or the other of us chances are we didn't sign ourselves out.  Lol....

PTI's Make It Monday with Lexi's Stamping Outside the Box

I love when a card comes together so easily and it is one that I really like.  I had this piece of watercolored cardstock in my stash that I used to cut out the butterfly. (Life is Beautiful)
And the frame is from Fabulous Frames in Soft Stone that hasn't seen much love at all for a long time.
Sentiment also is from an oldie, Asian Fusion.
Used a Perlen Pen and Spectrum Noir on the butterfly spots.
Love how CAS this is.

CAS Mux Up - January

Colleen, my BFF gave me some Alcohol Inks for Christmas and I just had a chance to play with them.  It took a little practice to get some pretty backgrounds, watching Loll's video a couple of times.  I finally got a few pretty backgrounds, but now what do I do with them?
I struggled with this a bit but finally came up with this lovely butterfly.  Haven't made a butterfly card in forever....

I am entering this in CAS Mix Up

I used stamping, Alcohol Inks on Yupo paper, die cutting and dry embossing.

PTI's Life is Beautiful, Darice butterfly EF,  PTI's Keep It Simple, Thinking of you and some PPP sequins.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp-A-Faire 2015 Opening Night

This year for Stamp-A-Faire Colleen came up to my house as tomorrow is my dad's 95th birthday.  We are celebrating with family tonight so we can participate in tomorrow's events.
She came up on Wednesday and we went to our favorite store Impress at Southcenter.  We found this glitter paper that we could iron on and that is how our shirts evolved.  I used Life Is Beautiful, Framed Out and Scripted Alphabet for my shirt.
Sunday, Colleen and I will drive down to Portland and I will spend a week with her for one of our yearly visits.
We have so much fun together, but believe it or not we have not made a single card.  We have been in my craft room though and done some organizing and watching videos.  But tomorrow we will be  stamping all day.

Make It Monday #217 with Laurie Creating Custom Borders

My card for  MIM
Using other stamps to create your own border.  I wanted to use something different, hence the butterflies.  Not sure if it makes a good border.
Ok, so first of all I put the butterflies on the top of the card and then realized it needed to be underneath the top section.  I was able to get the butterflies off without much problem but the backs of the butterflies were not so easy to get the tape off so I opted to put them directly on the back of the card.   So a little improvising and I made it work.

PTI's Life is Beautiful, Heart 2 Heart #10, Bigger Blooms for sentiment, Bitty Dots vellum paper
Hero Arts Ombre Inks for butterflies.  The stripe is ink to paper.  And some bling

The Paper Players - Tic Tac Toe #211

Avery, my 8 year old granddaughter made this card.

Avery's Card for The Paper Players
which she pretty much did all on her own with minimal help from me.
She picked which challenge she wanted and she wanted to used embossing paste, with PTI's New Leaf green,  Life is Beautiful, Double Ended Banner embossed with Zing, Leaf embossing powder.
She designed it herself picking out what she wanted.  I made the bow and put the embossed sheet on the card, stamped the butterfly and the sentiment.  When she makes a one layer card she does all the stamping herself.
Chevron stencil.
Vellum overlay of New Leaf stamped butterfly.

Make It Monday #176 with Laura Bassen - Backgrounds with embossing paste.

My card for MIM
Made a stencil with 2 Quatrefoil die cuts.
PTI's Life is Beautiful in Berry Sorbet and Vellum.
Wonderful Words Thank you
PTI's Quatrefoil with Dreamweaver Pearlescent Embossing Paste in Berry Sorbet, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise and Harvest Gold.
I have a house full today, my three granddaughters and son, so this was made in stages
My 8 year old granddaughter helped me mix the colors for the paste.  She worked on one while I did the other   She is the only one who seems to want to make cards and she is the youngest.  The other two just want to color images or play with all the gadgets.  So while we were letting it dry we all sat down and played Yatzee.  It is going to be 95 today, too hot to go outside.

So here is the  Birthday Card she made with Garden Grace and Butterfly Dreams in Berry Sorbet, Hawaiian Shores and Tropical Teal.
