My card for The Card Concept

 

I lilacs are one of my favorite flowers.  I didn't use a lilac but this new stamp set from PTI that I just got yesterday.  So I was drawn to the purple colors but decided to add some yellow too.  And I used the CAS style.

Friendship Jar Flowers and Just the Jar.  I had mistakenly bought the jar die a couple of years ago and was so happy when they came out with the stamp for it.  Now I can use it.

This is the first time I have entered in this challenge.  I just received two  Sugar Pea Stamp sets in the Stamps of Approval box that my Bff, Colleen got me for helping her out posting on Sundays when she is in the gym watching here granddaughters play volleyball.   Wow, what a surprise to receive such a generous gift.  Thanks, friend.

When I saw the sketch I thought of this set but half way through discovered it was Winnie & Walter not Sugar Pea, but the little flowers and the sentiment are from Sugar Pea Birthday Cake.

I used Brushos to make my background with yellows and a little red, then made another one with reds and a little yellow for the butterfly.  I inlaid the butterfly in the middle.  I scored some lines at the top and bottom to add just a little texture.

This is Betsy's card that I used for Inspiration

I used Doodlie Doo and sponged on with Distress Inks,  Then stamped on the other images in Terracotta Tile, New Leaf and Summer Sunrise

I sponged on Blue Gelato at bottom of flower 

The strips at the bottom and top were made with the Faux Mother of Pearl technique.  Scrunching plastic wrap and applying Liquid Pearls to it and then sponging with Distress Ink.

Hello everyone, today we celebrate our 200th Challenge here at 

Merry Monday 

We were asked to pick a Guest Designer to join in our fun so you have twice as much inspiration.

The Challenge is to choose one of the following

As you can see I picked a Snowman Theme with this cute little image from Wild Rose - Girl with Snowman.  Colored with Copies.  The background circle is Inka Gold - Steeleblue which is shiny and prettier in  real life.  The white background is embossing paste over MFT Snowfall Stencil.

Use a butterfly 

 Memory Box Fantasy Floral stenciled with Distress Inks for a nice soft background

The butterfly is a technique  scrunching plastic wrap and applying Liquid Pearls on paper and then sponging ink.  This was some backgrounds that I had made when visiting Colleen the first of March.
