A card for STB using Splatters

I really have a tough time with splatters.  And I have tried using many different methods.  This one is using Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine spray.  Even this one is  second try, but was happy how this one turned out

The stamp set is WPlus 9 Modern Anemones another birthday gift from my BFF, (she really spoiled me this year)  I used my Ziggs to watercolor.  Then used Nuvo Jewel & Crystal Drops.

 Our "Topping" option this time around is...

Starting to be able to play in my craft room a little more each day.  Here is a great challenge for

"Black and White and One More Color"  

This is a technique that I saw on Gina K  stamp TV.  I have used this before but like everything else seem to have forgotten about it.

Using Prisma pencils and then a blending solution to blend the color.  

I used Mulberry and Altenew's Spring Daisy

I stamped the flourishes on the Lovely Lady cardstock in Angel Pink.  They are hard to see in picture but I wanted a soft background

I tried to match the butterfly with the background colors but it just didn't have enough pop so decided on this pretty blue.  I like how it turned out.

This is a technique that I saw on Jennifer McGuire's Blog 

Faus Dimension with Stamps and Stencils.

Tim Holtz Rays stencil, Distress Inks, Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold, Tumbled Glass & Blueprint Sketch

The sentiment was stamped in black, then in Versamark, and then soft off a little and stamped again with Versamark then embossed with Clear EP.  The background is sponged all over then you stake the stencil and sponge over that.

Seize the Birthday Adding Dimension - My Granddaughter, Kailey's Birthday

 

One of my granddaughters, Kailey will be turning 14 tomorrow.  Where does the time go?

So I made this card for her and am going to enter it into STB which I haven't done in a long time.

Since Meeting the lovely owner of STB (Nancy) and my Bff is on the design team, I thought it's about time to enter it again.

This is part of the stamps from Stamps of Approval that Colleen so generously got me for helping her out posting for her on Merry Monday when she was in the gym watching her granddaughters play volleyball.  Thanks again friend.

Think it turned out pretty cute.  A few years ago, I started taking the girls out to dinner and then shopping after for their gift.  That way I get to spend some one on one time with them and they get what they want.  I used to be pretty good at picking out things for them when they were little.

Just had a scare:  My SD card wouldn't let me import my card from my camera and being the illiterate as far as computers are concerned I called my son and he thought that the card just might be bad.  So I took it in and the guy at Fred Meyer checked my card and said it looked fine, but that would mean it was my computer.  Oh no, don't want to take it in for repair.  Called my son again and he suggested either using just the USB cord to import or try shutting down my computer.  Now, I had restarted it and that hadn't fixed it, but I did shut down and it worked.  Yeah, now I won't have to try to figure out where to put the USB cord.

As you can see I screwed up and meant to put Berry Sorbet and instead stamped Aqua Mist, so decided I would stamp over which didn't work.  This was my last thing to stamp so wasn't about to stamp over.
