This week Nina wants us to use Shimmer &/or Sparkle on our cards.  The second picture is not a good one but it does show how much shimmer there is.

PTI's Botanical Blocks #III using LuminArte Shimmer stuff that my friend gave to me eons ago and I used them a little at first.  I thought they dried up and weren't any good anymore, but found out that you just add some water and they are good to go again.  Modern BG stencil in Aqua Mist and some DCWV Glitzy Glitter cardstock.

A Little Time Out to Heal

Just wanted to let my friends out in blogland know that the reason I have not been able to comment and play in challenges is because, last Friday, I had a Laminectomy, back surgery to correct some sciatica.  I am on the road to recovery and yesterday was the first time I even got on my computer.  It so made me want to play in my craft room.  The first three days after surgery I was wondering if I did the right thing, but as time is going by I'm pretty sure I did.  Would just like to get back to normal again.  Even though I am not commenting know that I am looking.  It's just that still being on pain meds, makes me a little loopy.  Well my family and friends would say I am that way already. lol

Merry Monday #236 with Lori

 

Oh wow, last Wednesday had no mojo when trying to make this card.  My friend sent me a couple of cards to help me and I so on Sunday morning I was able to come up with this fun card.  I like how this turned out.  The watercolored background is one I found in my stash that was perfect after several tries with smooshing, using my Ziggs etc.  Should have looked there first.  

This week our host is Lori and she wants us to use Stockings on our card.  Come join us at Merry Monday

 

PTI's Stocking Prints, using CP's inks,  Colored a panel with my Ziggs and then die cut them out.  I used Clear Wink of Stella on stockings and then on the words forgetting that the Zigg colors with re-activate.  Darn.

I decided on non-traditonal colors for this card which is rare for me.

Wild Rose's Girl with Snowman colored with my Ziggs.   Wink of Stella clear and added some polka dots to the little girl.  Used a gold Uniball pen for the stars on the scarf.

CAS Mix Up - February 2017 - Lots of SNOW

 

Finally got a chance to play in this month's CAS Mix Up  

 

I used Design Objectives embossing folder on BG,  a piece of Inka gold from my stash for the circle.

PTI's Beautiful Butterflies on Corrugated cardboard with some Inka gold  on it.

Keep It Simple Thinking of you.  Three sequins.

AND LOTS OF SNOW

It's been quite awhile since we have had snow like this.  It was so gorgeous.  In fact in the last 4 years, since I retired, there has basically been none.  I thought once I am retired, it can snow all it wants.  Well we finally got our wish.  It is really wet and heavy.  Got 8-10".  This was yesterday and today it is still in the yards and in our long driveway.  The main roads have been plowed and are basically wet, were a little icy this morning.  It is supposed to warm up and it will all be gone in a couple of days.
