I stamped the images, then colored with Copics & die cut one flower and the sentiment

Oh my, I have been working on this since 10:30 or 11 and just now getting done.  So many things went wrong and I would have to start over.  I was actually practicing my Copic coloring from my on line class for most of the morning then decided to make this work for a card for the two challenge.  But still it took me all afternoon.

I tried to match the butterfly with the background colors but it just didn't have enough pop so decided on this pretty blue.  I like how it turned out.

This is a technique that I saw on Jennifer McGuire's Blog 

Faus Dimension with Stamps and Stencils.

Tim Holtz Rays stencil, Distress Inks, Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold, Tumbled Glass & Blueprint Sketch

The sentiment was stamped in black, then in Versamark, and then soft off a little and stamped again with Versamark then embossed with Clear EP.  The background is sponged all over then you stake the stencil and sponge over that.

Merry Monday #208 A fun card for a Child

 

Sue's challenge for us this week is to make a fun card for a child.  I have this NBUS stamp set by Wild Rose Girl on Sled that I have been waiting for a challenge that would suit this and I think this is perfect.  Colored with Copics.  The stitched circle was not initially part of this card but I messed up the sentiment.  I was saying as I stamped it that I should use my Misti, but didn't and it was blurry.  Grrr.  Why don't I listen to myself.
