Another card for CAS Watercolour 

I have been practicing with the PTI Peonies on Parade Watercolor Sheets and my flowers would always turn out one color.  Still need more practice but this is the best of them.  I like how the background turned out.  Used Distress Inks in pinks & green.  That is Twisted Citron not yellow.

Was struggling about what Challenge to do, everything was still wintery scenes and I wanted to do something different so  I went with a card for The Card Concept

Yeah, flowers and pretty things.

The strip is actually gold and white.  It almost looks black in the photo.

Make It Monday #247 with Melissa - Watercolored card sets.

 

 It was a busy couple of days for me this weekend.  I had my Sorority Ladies Luncheon on Saturday and then my nephew and his girlfriend had a retirement party for my sister at our house on Sunday.  They did an amazing job with food, decor and presentation.  I helped a little....  Everyone was quite impressed and we had a great turnout. 

So it's been about a week since I have been in my craft room to create.  And now I am waiting for my BFF, Colleen to show up.  She should be here anytime now.  So excited to get to visit with her and then we are meeting another blogging friend Nancy Leppek from Seized the Birthday who is visiting her son from Florida.  It was a little iffy cause here husband had an appendicitis attach and had to have his appendix out last Tuesday.  He will do just about anything to keep her home.  lol....

She is here, got here about 1:00 

So back in my craft room to have fun.... and finish my post

I used PTI's Peonies on Parade - Watercolor Sheet

I have not had much success with these watercolor sheets on my own so was glad for this technique from Melissa.

Also used Embellished Elegance for the flourishes since I have none.

A new challenge by blog favorites, Bonnie and Loll.  I actually might be the first or second to post my card to this challenge.  

PTI's Peonies on Parade, watercolored with my Zigg pens.  I also clear embosed the flower and leaves.  Then  sponged a floral stencil for a light background.

Sentiment is PTI's Painted Petals.
