Two Fun Days with Colleen - Learning about Foiling

About 2 years ago Jennifer McGuire did a video on foiling with 5 different techniques.  I was down at Colleen's and we tried some of her techniques, but were not successful.  Well Col got some new toner sheets from Gina K and some Deco Transfer Gel and we were foiling everything in site.  Here is a sample of cards that I made with them.  The fourth one is the transfer gel that you use with a stencil and the rest are sheets from Gina K's Foil Mates selection.  They are so pretty in real life.  The photos are hard to do because of the reflection.  The last one in particular is bad.  It was done in silver

We are having so much fun trying out this technique.

I've also played a little with my way early birthday present from my friend.  I was truly spoiled.  The second from the bottom is one of the stamp sets she gave me from W Plus 9, Modern Anemones.

Guest Designer for The 12 Kits of Occasions for May.

 

I was the lucky winner of Birgit's first, 12 Kits of Occasions and was asked to be a Guest Designer for the month of May.  I was a little nervous about it that I wouldn't have  mojo to create cards that someone else had picked out all of the pieces.  But once I got the kit, I was quite surprised how easy it was to create the cards.  I made 4 on the first day and they came together quite easily.  Of course, I started with my comfort zone which is CAS and flowers.  The others with more layering came together too although not as easily.  It was a lot of fun and I ended up with 7 cards.  Thank you Birgit, great kit....

Make It Monday #286 with Stephanie - Coordinating Card Pairs.

 

First of all, I want to say I am so excited because my BFF is coming today for a week's visit.  We haven't seen each other in person since last summer.  Colleen is up here for her granddaughter, Lilly's  VB tournament.  Yeah can hardly wait!!!

I kind of went to town today on this technique.  I wasn't sure what would look good but decided to try all three of these sets to see which I liked best.  I figured as long as I was embossing, I might as well emboss all at once.
