Make It Monday #283 with Laurie's first video Watercolor Wash Background

Two cards for this week's MIM
with Laurie.
I made two because I wasn't totally happy with the first one I made which is actually the second one in the post.  It seemed to be all one color.  I went back in and added some color to the top and I like it better.  I think I like it the best of the two except for the smudge.  What do you think?
I tried the other method also, but was not happy with that one at all.

Watercolor Wash Backgrounds by Laurie Schmidlin

I used an oldie but goodie, Stitches and Swirls for the embossing and then used my Tansai, Gambi watercolors.  Still struggle with watercolors.  Do better using Ziggs or just PTI or Distress inks.
Keep It simple Frame and Thinking of You.

PTI's Create Along With Us - August 2015

I was really missing MIM today, but then Create Along with Us posted which I had forgotten about.
Here is my card for Create Along With Us
PTI's  Stitches and Swirls, Solid Stitches & Swirls in Spring Moss and Harvest Gold.  Mine doesn't look nearly as yellow as her's.

I chose this card from Nicole.  It was so bright and cheery that I went with the same colors.

Colour Me #13 - Playful

My card for Colour Me which you can access Here
I embossed with white embossing powder on the back of vellum and colored with Ranger Distress Markers, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves, Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade on PTI's
Turned over Vellum for softer look.  A technique that I saw on Kristina Werner's blog today.

PTI's Stitches and Swirls, Fillable Frames #4 on Double Ended Banner
Added some yellow bling to the middle of the small flowers
Had to add a little bow to cover up glue that showed through.
The colors were as close as I could come....
I putzed (if that's a word) around in my craft room all day and this is all I have to show for the day.  I watched some videos and tried some techniques that didn't work so well.  Oh and skyped with my good friend Colleen.   Fun day all in all.
