A card for this month's CAS Mix Up using the Bokey technique which I have done before. I had fun creating this although I got it all done and got black ink from Birthday all over the front so had to start over. Grrrr….
I used PTI's Simple Impressions Celebrations with Distress Oxide and white H/A ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
Oh that background is gorgeous, love the soft and subtle bokeh in the background!
Your bright greens are beautiful with the Bokeh circles and Black stamped sentiment. TFS Linda and glad you made a 2nd card so you could play with us this month:-) Hugs..Nancy
That is a gorgeous bokeh background, Lin! I love the greens! That balloon looks like it floated right out of a magic land! Happy New Year!
your bokeh background is so pretty, and love your little balloon. love the green you chose :)
Great work with your bokeh background Lin! LOVE the green and white ... so fresh and reminds me that spring is not too far away! Great birthday card with the sweet floating balloon. Black Ink ... grrrr ... it always shows up in the wrong place!! And usually once the card is finished. xx
I love the Bokeh in green with the balloon floating off the edge! That black ink smudges if you look at it funny or so it seems. I think we've all seen our share of black smudges. Other colors too!
Your minty green and white Bokeh background is gorgeous, Linda! It's bright and perfect for a birthday card. The matching floating balloon is a really nice touch. We all understand your frustration about the ink smudges. I often ask myself "Why did I do that!?" ;-)
Thanks for sharing this beauty at CAS Mix Up!
This is so pretty!! I love the colors you used and the way your soft bokeh background creates just the right setting for the boldness of your sentiment and the pop of your sweet balloon! Bravo!! (Pop of the balloon.... sorry that might not have come out the way I meant it! giggles)
Sorry about the smudged ink but so glad you stuck with it....The colour and the effect of the Bokeh effect looks amazing. Love the fun balloon and the pop of black looks fabulous x
LOVE your Bokeh card Lin! That soft green is so perfect for this technique! And bummer about the black ink smudges...been there, done that MANY times! Glad you had time to re-do as this card is perfect!! :0)
Oh, boo, we've all ruined cards like that, but fortunately it doesn't happen too often. Your bokeh birthday design is fresh and delightful in that green, Lin! Hugs, Darnell
This is just wonderful...love the gorgeous colors!
Black ink can really mess up a card, but this one is beautiful. Love the subtle colours of this BG.
TFS at CAS Mix Up! xx
