Merry Monday #283 with Leanne - Puppy

I had help coloring this with Copics from my blogging friend, Kara Lynne of Bright Hope Creations on my recent trip to The Craft House where I met her and 4 other blogging friends.  See previous posts.  She is such an amazing colorer (is that a word?) and such a great teacher.

Update on the Happy Couple and the Triplets

The happy couple in the hospital....

 Ramie has been in the hospital for two weeks today.  They have scheduled their C-section for April 26th, the day after her birthday.  She is being monitored twice a day and the babies are doing well.  Baby girl is 2 lbs 2 oz., boys are 1 lb 13 oz and 1 lb 11 oz.  So all have grown.  She is starting her 28th week this week and that was the goal, but hope to go to 32 weeks.  Please still keep them in your prayers.

CAS Mix Up March 2018 Acetate & Birthday Card for my Grandson, Brennan

Today is my only grandson's birthday and he is 15 years old.   However, he will be the only boy  just for another month when his triplet cousins will be born, 2 boys and a girl.

This card is also for the CAS Mix Up challenge and I am getting it in just under the wire.

I am not very good at making shaker cards, but thought I would give it a try.  I really have to think about it when making one.  I don't like to think that hard.  Lol...

Stamping with Blogging Friends is the Best

Here are some of the projects that we worked on while at the Craft House.

Marcia showed us how to use a stencil to make an image with water on DOX sponged backgrounds.

Nancy brought her Finetec pearlescent watercolors and this image on black card stock to color.

And Kara helped us color this sweet little bear scene with Copics.

Marcia brought the makings for this sweet Easter pop up and Birgit brought the makings for the sweet deer pop up for inside the card.

Nancy brought this Concorde & 9th stamp set (I think) for us to stamp with Catherine Pooler Inks that Colleen and I brought for them to try.

And this is the front of the little deer pop up that I made for Birgit's card.

And I still have more things to make into cards.  Just not enough time....

Most Amazing Weekend with Blogging Friends

I have to share with you the most wonderful weekend spent with these awesome blogging friends.

Colleen and I were the last to arrive in Wichita and were met by these 4 smiling faces.

Kara Lynne, Birgit, Marcia and Nancy P.  We arrived on Thursday and had the most amazing bonding experience ever.  Now, we already had bonded as blogging friends, but the bonding has increased ten fold.  It was as if we had been friends forever.  We talked, laughed, stamped, ate and had the greatest time together in this wonderful house called The Craft House.

This first picture is taken on the rainbow stairs which only shows a glimpse of them.  The second one is the craft room and the third is the kitchen area.  Now this house sleeps up to 16 people, but we were glad that we had a small intimate group.  The 6 of us took over the whole craft room and were spread out on all the tables.  Not sure we would have had more room for any more people.

Everyone brought a project to share and we learned how to color these cute little bear with Copics.   Kara was a fabulous instructor and we each got one on one time with her.

Marcia and Birgit each brought adorable pop ups and Nancy shared her Finetec fluorescent water colors.  Marcia also brought her Lindy magic colors for us to try.   We really didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted, but had so much fun trying.

Unfortunately, Nancy had to leave on Saturday and it was sad to see her go.

Sunday, Birgit and Marcia had to leave around 12:30.  Kara at 6:00, and  Colleen & I didn't have to leave until 7:40.  It was too far to go back to the house so we went to a Panera for a bite to eat and spent some time coloring.  And I really did have some one on one time with Kara.  We then went to JoAnn's and Kohls and to Wendy's to use up more time.  We ended up taking the car back about 4:00 and to the airport about 4:30 for our journey back home.  I got home about 11:30 and Col was after midnight.  But what a wonderful time we had and the memories will live on forever.
