I been wanting to do a card for this challenge for a couple of weeks but just been too busy getting ready Christmas. 

Finally getting some time in my craft room today.

PTI's Winter Floral sponged with Distress Inks.  I sponged first and then die cut it out.

This week Lori want us to make a card portraying some type of winter fun and what is more fun than playing in the snow and making a snowman.  Although, we don't often get enough snow to do that, it is still fun to think about it.

I do not have much success with Shaker cards but this is a technique that Jennifer McGuire showed and I thought I needed to give it a try.  Well, I must say it was the easiest one that I have done, but still did a few steps wrong and had to go back and review her video.

This a a card for this week's MIM hosted by Betsy

PTI's Sprig Wreath, on Ripe Avocado and embossed in white.  Used a Copic to outline and then sponged in Ripe Avocado.

Then added the red sequins. Avery Elle Scalloped Border Dies.  And here I used Spring Moss cardstock.

I embossed the Sentiment in clear and the snowflakes in white  PTI's Jingle all the Way, Fab Flakes,

Then did a water wash and dropped in color with my Gansai Tambi water colors.

A card for CAS Watercolor 

 

 

Perfect timing for this technique.  I had just watched a video of Catherine Pooler's showing this technique.  Watercolor Resist  

I embossed in white and then used my Ziggs to drop color into it and then spritzed with water and let the colors work their magic.

I needed a break from Christmas stuff so went with is new stamp set from Neat & Tangled, Gardenia Blooms

Framed with PTI's Pure Poppy on Vintage Cream cardstock

I actually made this one first and then decided to do one in the yellows, orange and red.  I love how they both turned out.
