PTI's May Blog Hop 2015

I really struggled with this card.  May Blog Hop

Blog Hop Inspiration
This was the inspiration image.  I spent almost 3 hours on this.  Tried some smooshing, a whole sheet of the stamped cubes, bokeh, you name it I tried it.  Finally, was able to come up with this.  I like how it turned out.  I'm really more of a flower girl, so had a hard time with wood blocks.

PTI's Autumn Pattern Pieces, Phrase Play #5, Heart 2 Heart #2 in Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, Lemon Tart, New Leaf, Blueberry Sky & Royal Velvet.

Ohhhhh! This is so pretty. I love that you used circular balloons along with squares. The ink blending is lovely too.

Love your sponged background!! Beautiful gradation of colour! (I struggled a bit with this challenge, too, so went with a technique I'm more comfortable with, and flowers!! Wood blocks kind of stumped me. Flowers are always safe.) So, good for you to branch away from "safe"!!

I love your take on the challenge, Linda. I know what you mean about taking 3 hours though. I'm not one to whip out a card in 10 minutes.

It's fun, bright, and just so darn colorful that I can't help but smile Linda!! The photo with the blocks really threw me too, but I'd definitely say you rose to the occasion, because your card is great!! :0)
