Just Us Girls #357 A color challenge

 

Another sympathy card to go to the boyfriend of my friend who passed away suddenly at the young age of 41 this past week.  She will be greatly missed.  She had such a zest for life.

Thought the colors that are in the JUGS  

challenge this week would be appropriate for a  sympathy card.

A card for ColourQ 

 

This is a retirement card for my friend.  Thought these were good masculine colors.

Stamping with my BFF who drove up here today.  She will be here till Saturday.  Tomorrow we plan to go to Lake Tapps for a relaxing day in the sun, then Music in the Park at 6:30.  Supposed to be in the lower 80's. Then Friday, we are going up to Mt. Vernon for a retirement party for one of the guys

I used to work with.  It's about a 2 hour drive, so will be an all day trip.  And then Saturday we are going to Colleen's Family Reunion Picnic.  I used to go with her years ago when we were just kids, so it is like my second family.

So we have a fun filled 3 days ahead of us.  Not much time for stamping....

Make It Monday with Melissa #256 Spritzing Stamps

 

Tried with 3 other stamp sets, but didn't work very well so went with the one's Melissa used  Check out her video here, MIM 

I had trouble with how much water to spritz.  The second card is my first attempt (well not the first) which didn't have enough water, so tried again with the first card above with better water coverage.  Decided I still should use both cards.

Ok, so I really struggled with this technique.  First tried to use the Round Repeats, but that didn't work for me.  I had to watch Dawn's video about 3 times and use her colors so I could place them correctly.
