Eat Sleep Craft Repeat 2019

Had the most amazing weekend crafting with all of these ladies.
Front Row:  Christine Alexander, Susan Bridgman, Colleen Foelker, Bonnie Klass, and me
Back Row:  Trina Pham, Darnell Knauss, Loll Thompson & Nancy Littrell
We all gathered in Surrey, Canada, near Crescent Beach in a home that Loll rented for us.  Colleen and I were only able to stay for 4 days, but the others were there a week.
It was such an honor to be included in with these talented ladies.
Loll is a fantastic organizer and planner along with Christine and Susan's help it was an awesome weekend.
We all presented a technique to share with one another and made some fabulous cards.
My technique was one I saw on Kristina Werner's Blog using DOX inks to blend and then emboss in white.  I really loved this technique.  On her blog she shows different colors to blend together to get some amazing backgrounds.

Some of the cards I made during out retreat

Sponging with DOX inks and white embossing

Each of us is previewing a different technique so please come take a look at how much fun we had.

Thanks for stopping by.

Gorgous sunrise card with the beautifully blended yellow and orange background, Lin. The white heat embossed flower just pops against all the gorgeou colour!

Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful technique with us, Lin. Everyone used different colour combinations and the results of all were fantastic. This is something I will use again and again. I'm so happy to meet you in person and spend some time crafting with you. Thank you for joining us!! xx

You put me to shame, Lin, with your glorious productivity! You were only there four days and you finished WAY more cards then I did in a week! (Of course, I was busy goofing off a lot and that takes a lot of time, you know. Somebody had to do it!) I really love this feature card! The warm colors are amazing and I love the dandelion flowers better than the one I chose to emboss on mine. The sediment you used is just perfect! I will be doing this again and again, so thank you! (And thank you for the reminder that I want to go pull those color hues off KW's blog.) It was such a treat to see you and Col again and play with you for a few days! I miss you and hope to see you again soon! Hugs, Dolly

Thank you Lin for sharing all your cards. Every card and every technique you tried turned out beautifully, my friend. Good thing I only finished a couple of cards. With all my newly created card fronts, I did not have room in my craft carry on (who needs clothes) for finished cards. Having fun now at home finishing my card fronts into cards. Hope we get to craft again next year. Hugs...Nancy

Love the photos showing groups of the cards you made! You were so productive! And love your featured card showing the technique you taught us - it was such a good one and I ended up with three cards from your technique alone! Great warm summer colours on your card!

Fabulous cards Lin! I do love this technique and especially now that I have those special blending brushes that don't leave ring marks! Can hardly wait for you to be closer and we can inspire each other weekly!

What a fun time this must have been for all of you! Your cards are all gorgeous Lin. After reading your post yesterday, I watched Kristina's video and went to work blending five panels to use for future cards. Thanks for sharing this fun technique and the video. Your blending is perfect!!

Now that I've pulled out the colors Nancy used on her card, I'm going to white heat emboss an image on it and then I've combined both yours and her technique, Linda. What fun that must have been to spend time with all those lovely ladies.

I really loved this technique, Linda! It was a wonderful lesson in blending for one thing and the results are so pretty. Now to just find time to make a card from my pieces! It was so nice meeting you in person. You are every bit as fun as I thought you'd be! I hope to be able to get together with you again. BTW, your watercoloring wowed me along with the way you embraced those techniques!

Linda, I'm so glad we had the opportunity to meet in person, the four days flew bye :). Now we all realize we aren't that far away, perhaps we can do again in the future.
I loved your technique and have been back to KW's website for the colour swatches. I'll be playing more with my blending brushes and DOX inks.
Hugs Christine

Your cards are absolutely gorgeous, Linda. The DOx inks with white heat embossing is such a beautiful and easy technique, yet so impactful. Loved it!
So glad you were able to pull yourself away from the triplets to come to the retreat. 😉 It was a pleasure to meet you and craft together. Have a wonderful weekend. xx
