PTI SAF 2018 with Betsy Water Your Flowers

My attempt at watercoloring with Betsy.

I was happy with this until I put the stamen in messed it up.  They are way to thick, but it is what it is. LOL.

I used Stemmed Statements & Birthday Style on Aqua Mist card stock.

PTI's SAF with Dawn Planting Your Garden with Dawn McVey

This is the first year that I have not been with my BFF for SAF.  She recently underwent knee replacement surgery and is recuperating.  I originally was going to go down for SAF but we decided that it was best to come down after she was up and running.  I sure miss crafting with her and getting our mojo going together.

Well, it is 1:30 West Coast time and I am posting my first card.  I tried Betsy's watercolor technique and not real happy with it, but will try to make a card with it.

This card by Dawn is more in my wheelhouse, lots of bold colors and flowers.

I used Garden Party and made my own stencil to do the leaves.

And die cut the flowers and used my CP inks.

Just Us Girls #453 Fast Watercolors

A card for JUGS  Love this technique by Jennifer McGuire and not sure why I haven't used it or remembered it as I struggle so much with watercoloring.  I love how this turned out and it is so easy.

I embossed the flowers in white, then used my Distress Inks, direct to paper and then squirted with water and that's it.  Easy, peasy.  Also, thanks Sue for the challenge.

Make It Monday #332 Petite Pattern Play with Michele

I was finally able to make a card for this week's MIM

I have been able to play in my craft room for 3 days this week.  It's been in the 90's so perfect and the babies are on a working road trip with mom, dad & Avery, so we didn't get to see them yesterday.  Miss those cuties.  They get back today sometime so will be able to see them tomorrow.  Yeah!!!

So, if you haven't noticed, I am on a aqua and pink kick lately.  It started with a JUGS challenge using these colors and I really have like it.

CAS Watercolour August 2018 Challenge

I really struggle with watercoloring.  This is my fourth image that I tried to watercolor.  First I tried my Ziggs then decided to try another image and my Distress inks without much success.  Finally came up with this one that is just ok to me.  I used Lawn Fawn's Our Friendship Grows watercolored with Distress inks.
