CAS Mix Up January Challenge with Cling Wrap

I struggled with this technique a bit.  I didn't have any spray starch and just tried it without that.  The cling wrap didn't stay adhered  to the paper so I didn't get any designs with it.  I finally used some Gesso on it first and then tried it and this one took.  I used Brushos on it.

Your Gesso and Brushos Cling Wrap background turned out beautifully, Linda. I love your CAS design too. Maybe your wrap did not stick well enough because your background was not wet enough? Or maybe your wrap was not sticky enough. I prefer Glad or Saran Wrap. I have learned a new trick, after adding the cling wrap I place my large acrylic stamping block over the background and leave it for a few minutes. Then set the background aside to dry.

Anyway, I am so glad you did not give up and joined us at CAS Mix Up with your beautiful card. Hugs..

Your gesso and brushos background turned out beautifully, Linda!! Such a pretty design. I love that sweet butterfly. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up. Your card also works for CAS Watercolour if you'd like to join us there. :) xx

I love the patterns on your cling wrap piece and that beautiful window die (that I have added to my wish list). The butterfly is so pretty perched on it! I have used water instead of spray starch. The main thing is to have it really wet when you put the cling wrap on the piece. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Mix Up!

You got lots of pretty texture on this background & I like the way you've designed the card using this piece of brusho & cling. The corners outside this square frame die really dress things up a lot as well. Just became your newest follower after seeing your card at CAS Mixup. TFS & Hugs. (PS...this is my first time using starch with brushos. I have used water, dylusion and mica sprays. The starch makes it smell nicer! LOL)
