The talented Colleen wants us to use candles on our cards.  Do you ever have subjects that for some reason you can't make a decent card from it.  Well, birds are one for me and also candles.  But this is a little bit different from all the other cute cards that people make with candles.  I do like how this turned out.

  In my growing up years we were told that pink and red clashed.  But as styles change, so do color combinations.  Red and pink are really pretty together.

Welcome back 

Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday with family and friends.  Or should I say survived another Holiday. Lol...

Our challenge at STB this month is hosted by Cathy, and she would like us to include Winged Things on our cards.  I hope you'll join us.  Come see the amazing cards by our DT's for inspiration.

Of course, my favorite winged things are butterflies.  I had a sheet of Alcohol Inks, in my stash, in one of my favorite colors and decided to die cut some butterflies from Rubberneck's Butterflies Are Free Stramp and Die set.

Color Hues #55

Finally able to enter the Color Hues challenge.  I have been wanting to make a card all week, but just wasn't able to get to my craft room to play.  Spent the day watching the Seahawks win for a chance in the playoffs, on a very dreary Oregon Day and creating this card.

I tried all of my light pinks and just couldn't get a good light pink.  Ended up blending Gina K's Light Carnation to get this soft pink.  

Used Altenew's Garden Treasure and embossed with gold Embossing Powder.  The EF is one I had in my stash so don't know the name of it.
