MIM #109 - Watercolor and Embossing

My card for this weeks MIM - Watercolor stamping and embossing.

I used the Wonderful Word Hello and Heart 2 Heart #10 stamp sets.

Lemon Tart, Berry Sorbet and Harvest Gold for the butterfly colors.

The Hello - Lemon Tart, Simply Chartreuse, Harvest Gold and Hibiscus Burst, inks.

Pattern paper is Berry Sorbet.

PTI's March Blog Hop - Sequines

 

This is my card for PTI's March Blog Hop.  Not really keen on sequins.  This is about my third try and it still didn't turn out as well as in my head.  I envisioned using the sequins as spots on the butterflies and that didn't  work too well, so I just went with the 3 or 1 down the middle.  Then added two more sequin like butterflies.  I used Lavender Moon and Smokey Shadow cardstock. The stamp set is Beautiful Butterflies and then of course sequins.  The ink for the sentiment is Memento's London Fog.

My card using pattern paper as flowers as demonstrated by Jennifer in Day 4 Pattern Paper Class.  These were just miscellaneous pieces of paper scraps that I have.  Added a little Enamel Accents.

First of three cards that I made using Jennifer's Technique, using Nestabilities circle and scalloped circle.  Pattern Paper is from Basic Grey, I believe.  I used demensionals with this one.

This one I distressed the edges somewhat.

This was a technique that I saw on Jennifer McGuire's blog, masking the die cut and then stamping around it using several stamps on one large stamping block.

Moxie Fab World & Dynamic Duos #42-Dark Green and Yellow

 

I am down in Portland (from Seattle) visiting my BFF, Colleen for a week whose birthday is today.  We went out for lunch with her two daughters and hubby and then came back to her craft studio where we are making cards and entering challenges. We both share the same  stamping passion, so we are having such a great time.  We really feed off of each other and when one of us is struggling, the other can usually offer a bit of advice to help out.  It's great to have a best friend that shares the same obsession.  By the way, this friendship has lasted for about 53 years.
