Make It Monday #251 with Dawn -Gradient Water Color Die Cuts.

Two card with this technique by Dawn on PTI's MIM  Click to play along

Dawn's Cards
DSC_7476.1

I used PTI's Butterfly Cover Plate and Paper Clippings Thank you.  I used my Zig pens to do a gradient water color.  I went from light to dark and then again with the same colors.  I did both of the backgrounds before I die cut them out.  I think I like the second one better as far as the colors and blending.
Birthday Cheer die for sentiment on first card. and a few sequins.
I hardly ever use Kraft as my base card but really liked how this looked with these colors.

Seize the Birthday Adding Dimension - My Granddaughter, Kailey's Birthday

One of my granddaughters, Kailey will be turning 14 tomorrow.  Where does the time go?
So I made this card for her and am going to enter it into STB which I haven't done in a long time.
Since Meeting the lovely owner of STB (Nancy) and my Bff is on the design team, I thought it's about time to enter it again.
This is part of the stamps from Stamps of Approval that Colleen so generously got me for helping her out posting for her on Merry Monday when she was in the gym watching her granddaughters play volleyball.  Thanks again friend.
Think it turned out pretty cute.  A few years ago, I started taking the girls out to dinner and then shopping after for their gift.  That way I get to spend some one on one time with them and they get what they want.  I used to be pretty good at picking out things for them when they were little.

Sugar Pea Birthday Cake, Winnie & Walter Ring in the Celebration stamped in PTI's Lovely Lady, Hawaiian Shores and
H/A Neon yellow
PTI's Lovely Lady & White pattern paper
I used Copics to color the cake in like colors.

Time Out #57 'May All your weeds be wild flowers' & CASology #198 Stencil

I haven't been in my craft room to create all week and I was really ready to be here.
When I saw the topic on Time Out, I knew exactly what I wanted to use.

'May All your weeds be wild flowers'

I just saw that I can also enter this into CASology

This Lisa Johnson stencil called Peaceful Wildflowers.  Of course the stencil isn't like pictured here so I had to cover up some images as I sponged the ones I wanted then turn the stencil upside down to get others.  And of course I tried other methods, like my Brushos and Zig pens to watercolor and did not have much luck with them.  Loll made a beautiful background with a stencil and her Brushos, but mine did not turn out like hers.
Anyway this is it and I used Distress Inks to sponge on then because they were so plain tried to add some details by hand, which is not good since I can't even draw stick people.  Also put some white Perfect Pearls on the flowers which is hard to see in the photo.
Used some PTI vellum and embossed with Liquid Platinum and some embroidery thread.

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Monday #205 Snow Globe

My turn to host this week and I would like you to use a Snow Globe on your card.  When I first thought of this I thought it was a great idea but really struggled getting a card made for this.
Come see all the cards from the rest of the team to get some great inspiration.

PTI's Winter Snow Globe colored with Copics
Sentiment PTI- Holiday  Double
The Paper Studio Snowflakes
Background is embossed wax paper and then ironed on to card and then sponged over with Distress Inks, Salty Ocean & Chipped Sapphire.  This was a technique that I saw on Gina K's Stamp TV.  You are supposed to crinkle the wax paper first and then emboss, but I just embossed.
Thanks for stopping by.

The Paper Players #294 Color Challenge by Jaydee

My card for The Paper Players

I was going for the loose watercolor look with these whimsical flowers.  I saw a video a few weeks ago that showcased that technique and do you think I can remember who it was so just had to try it on my own.
I used embossed with clear EP and then used Distress Inks to water color.  This is a new set that I got at Impress, Avery Elle, Floral Frame.  First time to use it, then noticed after I was done that Colleen Begley had used the same stamp set.  Well at least I used a different technique.

Thanks for stopping by.
