On Line Card Class Day 6- Expressive Florals and Leaves -2

This is my last card for the On Line Intermediate Water Color class.  This class was so great if you are an artist, which I am not.  I was able to do some of the techniques, but there were some, try as I might, could not even come close.
I am impressed that I was able to freehand this card. Yah, can you believe it?  This was a combination of Kristina's and Jennifer's techniques.  Kristina takes a picture like the one I have here to use it as an example of how to design her card, and then I used Jennifer's flowers, cause I wasn't able to re-create the ones in the photo.
Great, great class but I'm afraid a little (lot) above my skill level...

On Line Card Class Day 4 Negative Painting on Image

A card I wasn't going to post, but as I kept looking at it decided it wasn't too bad.
This was Shari Carroll's take on negative painting on image.

On Line Card Class Day 6- Expressive Florals and Leaves

After many tries I was able to come up with a card to post.  I really like how this turned out.  All freehand, amazing huh?  I have had such trouble with the stems usually they are too fat, but finally got it right.  This is Jennifer's technique who claims to be like us.

On Line Card Class Day 5 - Expressive Florals and Leaves

Another success that I can post. Still need lots and lots of practice.  I'm not sure that this is my kind of watercoloring, though.  I'm just a basic watercolorer, washes, embossed images etc.  Glad I was able to do a few of the techniques.

On Line Card Class Day 5 - Expressive Florals and Leaves

After several days of struggling, I feel like I have had some success in this freehand picture of leaves and flowers.  YEAH!!!!
In fact I really like how this turned out.  Still struggling with the branches getting the lines too fat.

On Line Card Class Day 2 Brush Techniques & Washes -4

This is a card techniques by Laura Bassen,  I struggled on what to do with this background and decided to just add a large sentiment and a black strip along the side.

White  Embossed a leafy background and then added the circles on to the card with Koi watercolors.

No cards for today as today's lessons were well above my skills.  And it was not from lack of trying.  I must have tried one technique about 6-8 times or more.  Just could not get the loose watercolor look.
And the other technique I must have tried 4 or 5 times.  Yikes, over my head.

Color Throwdown #377 Guest Star Stamper

I am thrilled to be the Guest Star Stamper this week on Color Throwdown
using Kraft, Gray & Yellow

PTI's Reason to Smile, Keep It Simple Thinking of You in Lemon Tart, Classic Kraft, and H/A Soft Granite.
MFT, Double Stitched Circles.

On Line Card Class Day 2 Brush Techniques & Washes -3

My third card is another wash using Kristina's technique.

PTI's Bookmark #3, Butterfly Dreams, Asian Fusion,  Koi Watercolors

The 3rd lesson for the day was to paint a rose freehand, needless to say I have nothing worth showing.  Like I said before, I can't even draw stick people.

And I have two more backgrounds to make into cards using Laura Bassen's technique.  May not get to them until tomorrow.

On Line Card Class Day 2 Brush Techniques & Washes -2

Here is a technique used by Kristina using a wash which is the background.  I added the butterfly which is dropping color on wet card.
MFT Stitched Cover Up.
PTI's Keep it Simple Thinking of You.  Beautiful Butterfly

On Line Card Class Day 2 Brush Techniques & Washes

My first card for today.  Using just a brush stroke to create corn flowers.  I am amazed I was able to make these as well as I did.  I am not a freehand artist at all.  I have trouble drawing stick men.
I like how this came out.
This was a technique by Yana.
To get the same color strip on the side I watercolored it in the same color.

Keep It Simple Get Well

On Line Card Class Day 1 Brush Techniques and washes, with Dawn from Wplus 9

Day One - On Line Card Class - Intermediate Water Color
Colleen and I think we may have gotten in over our heads.
Ok my first attempt at this technique with Dawn, wet on wet, dropping water color in  image.
I didn't have the pear that Dawn used so decided on Balloon Bash from PTI.  Used Koi water colors.

PTI - January 2016 Blog Hop

The first thing I thought of when I looked at the picture was surfboards, so used this Aloha stamp set to make this card.  Stamped the surfboards in Versamark and embossed in white.  Then used Orange Zest, Terracotta Tile, Hawaiian Shores & Tropical Teal to sponge on the images and background.  Then used the Bokeh technique with Sketched Shapes in H/A Unicorn ink.  The  banner is Stitched Pink Edge Label.

Altenew Academy Stunningly Simple Watercoloring Day 5 Watercoloring Solid Image Stamps

Well caught up again, but will not be able to watch tomorrow's video until the afternoon.
Not sure I got this technique down but here it is.  I like the orange one but it doesn't look watercolored.  The other two have more of that watercolored look.

Used Distress Inks:
PTI's Beautiful Butterfly

Altenew Academy, Stunningly Simple Watercolor Day 4 No line watercoloring.

Ok, so I need a lot more practice with this technique.  I have trouble making nice crisp lines and not going outside the lines and then being patient and letting one petal dry before trying to paint the next one.  I did do every other one but still had a few issues.
I wasn't able to play yesterday but I'm getting caught up today.

This was a technique from Darlene from Live, Love Cards.  I used my Zig water color markers and painted a sheet, then die cut the butterfly and then again in the silver.  I put the watercolored pieces back into the silver die cut like a puzzle.  Then cut off the top portion.   Put a strip of the same silver paper along the side.

Background is MFT Diagonal stripes, stamped in PTI's Soft Stone.

The Paper Players #277 from Claire

A color challenge from The Paper Players

Decided to use my Brushos for the butterflies.  I wish they would not blend out so much but keep the bursted look that they have when you first spritz the water on it.

PTI's Beautiful Butterflies and I think the more delicate one is from SSS.  I didn't have a pink in the Brushos so sponged the stripe in Raspberry Fizz.
The little trails are a wood stamp by Judith.

PTI's - Create Along With Us - January 2016

My card for this month's Create Along With Us

I picked this card by Danielle

The card in the front...New set Bold Blossoms - Love it
I used watercolor pencils.

PTI's Vintage Linens & Birthday Bash Sentiments watercolored with InkTense pencils.
The leaves didn't have an outline stamp so stamped it with New Leaf and took my water pen to blend.
Added a few sequins   I like how she left part of the flower uncolored but have a hard time doing that .  I did it on the yellow flowers.

Merry Monday #187 Plaid with Colleen

Colleen's challenge this week is to use Plaid on your card.  I decided to go with more of a non-traditional color scheme this time.  Usually, I am all about red and green.

I stamped MFT background stamp Diagonal Stripes with PTI's Classic Kraft and die cut it with MFT Stitched Cover Up.
The balloons are from PTI's  Birthday Style which I seldom use.  I don't know why cause I really like how they look translucent.
