I only colored in two of these flowers but want to practice with other colors.

Here is another card for Merry Monday
I have been taking Jennifer McGuire's Copics on-line class and have learned so much from this class and all of the wonderful instructors. They are so amazing. This is a first attempt at coloring a full image and adding it to a card outside of class. I think she turned out pretty good.
This has been so much fun.
I used a white gel pen to add the polka dots and PTI's Pure Poppy striped paper.
La La Land Marci Christmas Blessings
A card for Merry Monday
This was a techniques that I saw on Jennifer McGuire's Blog which you can access Here
Of course her's is so elegant, but I thought I could adopt the same design. I'm not as happy with it as I had pictured in my head.

Doodlebug Frosty Friends pattern paper
Back side of ornament is with a coordinating pattern paper.

Day 6 Blending - Various texture techniques using colorless blender
I tried the corduroy look with the first purple image and just ruined it. I don't know what made me think I could do this since I can't make a straight line for the life of me. Anyway, so had to make another purple doggie and then added polka dots with the colorless blender. I also added polka dots to the third doggie. On fox number 1, I tried alcohol on a washcloth for some texture. It's very hard to see. I finally found my colorless blender refill and tried it and it seemed to work better.

Another card for Freshly Made Sketches
I had watercolored this awhile ago and decided to use it for this card.
PTI's Botanical Blocks #II watercolored with Distress Inks after embossing in white - painting first with water and then dropping in the colors to let them blend on their own. Fun technique.
The panel is Pearlescent embossing paste colored with Winter Wisteria on Chevron stencil.
Used some Wink of Stella, clear on flower, hard to see.
and some bling

I was only able to practice one ballerina and I see that I need much more practice with this one.
She was fun to do.
I was able to do another ballerina. Having a little trouble blending the upper portion of her face. Oh well, practice, practice, practice.

My 4th day in the Copics Coloring Class and I am really happy with my results. I can't say enough about this class. So helpful and awesome.
I could hardly wait to get home and try out the flowers. Every Thursday morning I grocery shop for my 94 year old dad, then we go to I-Hop for breakfast and then I take him for a drive. Normally, I don't mind going but today I just wanted to stay home and practice. I finally got home about 1:00 and got to try the flowers. The purple flowers were the hardest, they just didn't want to blend even though they were in the same color family. So much fun.
I see I forgot to use my gel pen to color the stamens. Looks much better finished.

More Copic Coloring Practice
Second day of class coloring and blending on birds and butterflies, using flicking/feathering and other blending tricks. Great class but just need to practice, practice, practice as my BFF says. Selecting the right colors and playing with them is a challenge. It seems I don't have many of the same colors the designers are using. And then documenting the colors before you put them away, like the first butterfly. NOT....

My card for the day forAddicted to Stamps & More
I have been in my craft room all day and this is only the second card I have made. Trying some different watercolor techniques and things were just not turning out. This one did work. I was having more trouble with the first card. In fact, I am happy with this.
PTI's Pretty Peonies embossed in white and then using distress inks to drop into the flowers and leaves. Fun and easy technique. Just have to drop water in the areas first and then drop the colors onto the images and they just blend themselves.
Then used a piece of vellum for the sentiment (Keep It Simple Thinking of You) embossed in Liquid Platinum.
I was supposed to see Keith Urban tomorrow night but the concert has been cancelled due to the death of Nicole's father. Very sad and unexpected.

My card for today is the sketch from The Challenge
I needed a couple more baby cards and so used the sketch. I didn't read until just as I am posting that it was supposed to be for a special teacher. Oops....

My card to enter into NBUS #2
Ok, the last NBUS challenge I used a new stamp set but said I didn't have any old stamp sets that hadn't been used. I forgot (on purpose?) that I have this set. I belong to Stamps of Life Club where they send you a new stamp set each month. Well, this is one that I am not too fond of so have not used. Still not that thrilled with it. I used Copics to color and had to fussy cut because I tried to add a little shelf at the bottom like all the designers do, but it turned out crappy, so had to cut out. Added some sequins from Impress and called it good.
Here is the 2nd background that I was trying to make into a card yesterday with no luck. Mojo was not happening.
Today I came in and was able to finish up this and another card for the following challenges
PTI's Quatrefoil die in Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Terracotta Tile and Scarlet Jewel. Embellished Elegance & Friendly Flowers for the sentiment.
My card for the following 3 challenges
Yesterday, I was trying to make a card for MIM - embossed resist using dies and this is one of the backgrounds that I came up with. Well, my mojo was not working and I couldn't think what to do with it. Today, my mojo is working better and I was able to complete this card and the second one.
