I made a really easy card using Pretty Pink Posh Cherry Blossoms as a background and PTI's Banner Style and Keep It Simple Birthday for the sentiment

This is a card I made for my Granddaughter Avery who will be 13 on November 3rd.  She is quite excited to finally be a teen.  I remember those days, (sort of). Haha!

I used this cute little Santoro Holly that I got from my lovely friend Birgit at our retreat last March and colored her with Prisma colored pencils.

I started my card this morning, my only day of crafting, but was interrupted to go watch my dad from 1-3, so it is hard to continue with any mojo.

And tomorrow I get to go help with those babies who are now 6 months old and are talking, smiling and laughing.   In addition to that, they are on the verge of rolling over.  They are getting so fun.  They were out of town last week so it's been over a week since I have seen them.  Can't wait.

This week it is Photo Week

I always take photos so literally and really struggled with this card.  In fact, we had this photo on one of our MM challenges and I think I struggled then too.  

So then, I just decided to just go for the obvious, red and white.

I used a stamp set that came with my Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.  SC Design, Scandi Christmas

After I made my first card and wasn't too happy with it, this came in the mail and immediately I thought this would work for this week's card.

The sentiment is from Neat & Tangled, Merry and Bright.

Well the babies come back tonight, so it will be back to going to help Ramie.  I really missed them, but enjoyed my time in my craft room. Lol

I was inspired by the sentiment being the focal point and the flowers around.  I was going to make this a Christmas card using these colors but they looked more Fallish to me.  So I will give this to my Aunt who will be 83 next week.

My inspiration came from the card below by Michelle

I used a window die that I have.  I sponged Aqua Mist on the background and then used MFT's Snowfall stencil with some embossing paste.
