PTI's Beautiful Butterflies & Embellished Elegance in Aqua Mist, Berry Sorbet, Lemon Tart & Lavender Moon.

I had the Happy die in black but it was too stark so decided to use Aqua Mist pattern paper.

I love sponging backgrounds.  I think they turn out so pretty.

I debossed the butterflies first and then stamped.

The inspiration from this card is the white on kraft and then stamped over.

Kristina revisited a technique stamping on Kraft paper in white and then again in inks offsetting it just a bit.  See here for the video

Kristina Werner a Guest on Jennifer McGuire's Blog

She used a stencil instead of stamp and I also selected a Memory Box Flower stencil.  I used PTI's Perfect Snow over the stencil on Classic Kraft cardstock, then let it dry for a couple of hours.  It may not take that long.

Then moved the stencil just a bit and then sponged with Hawaiian Shores, Berry Sorbet and Summer Sunrise.

After looking at more cards on Less Is More, I forgot to put a little color at the bottom of the pot so it isn't just floating in the air.  It seems I always forget some finishing touch.  Darn...

I have a request for a retirement card so making a few so she has a choice to pick from.

Is seems like a lot of us baby boomers are taking the plunge....

I tried using Sweet Life of this card and another one and it would just ink up the outside and I couldn't get any ink in the middle.  Not sure why.  Then I tried the butterflies and that seem to work good.

I pulled out an old stamp All About You for my card using Terracotta Tile, Orange Zest and Lemon Tart for the flower.   For the leaves, I used Ripe Avocado, Simple Chartreuse and Spring Moss.

Just had a scare:  My SD card wouldn't let me import my card from my camera and being the illiterate as far as computers are concerned I called my son and he thought that the card just might be bad.  So I took it in and the guy at Fred Meyer checked my card and said it looked fine, but that would mean it was my computer.  Oh no, don't want to take it in for repair.  Called my son again and he suggested either using just the USB cord to import or try shutting down my computer.  Now, I had restarted it and that hadn't fixed it, but I did shut down and it worked.  Yeah, now I won't have to try to figure out where to put the USB cord.
