PTI's Happy Hydrangea and Mega Vases in Simply Chartreuse and Royal Velvet spritzed with water for the watercolor effect on watercolor paper.

I tried using watercolor crayons and the first one I tried turned out good, but then I ruined it by putting another color on it that I didn't care for.  I must have tried about 5 or 6 times to duplicate but could not get it right.  I was using Life.  I tried a couple of other techniques, but was not getting what I wanted.  So decided to do this technique of inking my stamp and spritzing.  I like how it turned out, but it doesn't have the true watercolor look.

My friend Colleen and I made too cards today using the same challenges and seeing what we each came up with.  That was fun to do.  We often Skype and craft together.  The next best thing to being side by side since she lives in Portland and I'm in Seattle.

Colour Me #13 - Playful

I embossed with white embossing powder on the back of vellum and colored with Ranger Distress Markers, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves, Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade on PTI's

Turned over Vellum for softer look.  A technique that I saw on Kristina Werner's blog today.

Added some yellow bling to the middle of the small flowers

Had to add a little bow to cover up glue that showed through.

The colors were as close as I could come....

I putzed (if that's a word) around in my craft room all day and this is all I have to show for the day.  I watched some videos and tried some techniques that didn't work so well.  Oh and skyped with my good friend Colleen.   Fun day all in all.

I really love Brenda's card.  It is so serene and beautiful.  I cased it somewhat but tried to put my own spin on it.  It took me three times with the white portion behind the rectangles.  I kept trying to put too much on the white but ended up only adding the bling.  I think it turned out OK but it didn't come close to the image in my head and Brenda's card.

As you can see I screwed up and meant to put Berry Sorbet and instead stamped Aqua Mist, so decided I would stamp over which didn't work.  This was my last thing to stamp so wasn't about to stamp over.

This is for my daughter in law, hope she won't mind.
