Today's STB challenge is hosted by our fantastic leader, Nancy and she would like us to make a card with layers on it.
Come see all of the inspiration by our DT's and Surprise Guests.
This was definitely a challenge for me, as I usually create clean and simple cards. After I get all the pattern paper on it, I struggle what to put on it, so it isn't too busy. I looked through all my stash of flowers and butterflies and came up with nothing, so I needed to stencil some more butterflies in colors that I felt would match the paper.
I used Gina K's inks on PF's Small Butterflies, stencil, stamps, and dies. The paper is from Gina also, Watercolor Floral

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well...you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes" Birthday!
Thanks for stopping by.
Beautiful card Lin!! Love the mix of papers that work perfectly together. Your stenciled butterflies over top are perfect. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty little butterflies, Linda ! This is a wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteYou pulled together a beautiful layered card, Linda! The papers, colors, design... and those butterflies -- all so perfectly coordinated and pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am pinning this when I am done as I love the layout. Love your grey and pink butterflies too!
ReplyDeleteVery cool idea to make the butterflies to match the paper in your layered background. Even if you are uncomfortable with layers, you did very well.
ReplyDeleteAbsoluty gorgeous card congrats 😊💐 happy day
