Being snowed in has its advantages, like playing in my craft room.
I got to play in the Twofer challenge
Hopefully they are different enough to qualify. Looking at them now, I should have gone with my first design of a banner instead of the balloon again.
I used 3 different stamp set with stars in it and used on both cards.
The first is a Birthday card and then a Graduation card.

I did take a drive around the block and did fine but don't know what the main streets look like. They are most likely better than our neighborhood.

Front
And it just started snowing again. But looking on my phone it is supposed to turn to rain later today. Then what a mess.
Thanks for stopping by.
I think the balloon works well on both your cards, and what cute cards they are! Love the patterned stars and balloon. You did great with the two different layouts and occasions. It's always fun to see all the different ideas for the Twofer challenges. I'm on the southern Oregon coast and we got about an inch of snow two days in a row, but melted off each afternoon. Looks like you got the full force of the front! Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer!
ReplyDeleteThe snowy scene is beautiful, but I'm glad to enjoy it from your pictures & not in person--haha! Fun & festive cards--always have loved those pretty balloons!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you are safely at home and able to craft all warm and cozy! They say when it rains, it pours. Sometimes when it snows, it keeps on snowing! Love your starry balloons! Both cards are very festive and I'm impressed that you used three stamp sets twice!
ReplyDeleteTwo FABULOUS cards Lin and yay to you for already having a graduation card done!! I always leave those till the last minute and am always stuck on what to do!! Your snow looks just like us now, except we woke up to freezing rain this morning...yuck! Glad to see you're having some fun in your craft room though I bet you're missing those babies like crazy by now!! Hang in there!! :0)
ReplyDeleteI'd say your designs were different enough to qualify for this challenge, so no worries there. I do like the way you've used two different sorts of stars; they look wonderful! Sweetly designed birthday card, and a great graduation card. Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Bev
ReplyDeleteFantastic Twofers and I like the balloon on both designs as it fits both themes. I like that pretty star with the great pattern design on it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful star patterns on both your cards, and the balloons go along so well with your themes.
ReplyDeleteSweet cards Lin! Love the combination of stars and balloons! The designs are different, no worries there. Love the colours and fun designs. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteGood for you braving the roads. We have about 10-12" and I'm staying put. :) We are supposed to get more tonight and tomorrow and then rain by Friday. It will definitely be a mess once the rain hits. Another good reason to just stay home and craft! :)
Polka dots and stars ... what a great combination, Linda ... and so celebratory with the balloons! They frame the sentiment on your birthday card beautifully ... and create such a great background for that starry graduation banner! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, Lin, that's a lot of snow, which is beautiful from the window, but not so much fun to drive in, especially when it turns to dangerous ice! Be careful and stay in! Your Twofer designs are so festive, just perfect for a birthday celebration and a graduation celebration! I love that you used three different star stamps on both your creations!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #13! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteSo glad you took advantage of the weather by playing with us at Twofer! Your stars light up both your birthday and graduation card! I love that you combined three different star stamps. That rain and snow mix is the worst, especially when it turns to ice - stay safe!
ReplyDeleteLove all your wonderful snow photos...so magical! Your cards are so fun and festive!
ReplyDeleteYou are having quite the winter Lin! I can't believe how much snow you are getting! Tyler would have enjoyed that, but all he has gotten since moving to San Jose is constant rain. He said it feels like he brought Seattle with him. LOL . Love your twofer cards! These stars look great and I think they made terrific cards! Be safe out there! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are getting zonked with snow but I'm glad you're finding some time to relax and play. Your cards are super sweet! Stay safe my friend.
