Everyone's good friend, Darnell has started a new challenge for all of us.
I thought this would be quite a challenge for me, but my mojo was working well and I think I did both of these cards in less than an hour and it only took me one time for each. Love when that happens. Of course, I sort of had an idea for the first one as I was laying awake at 3 in the morning thinking of it and a hint of how I wanted to do the second. But to actually have them work is a MIRACLE...Lol
PTI's Feather Finery embossed in the first card and added some Nuvo Drops and then the second with CP inks and some Gina K. Foil Mates. Doesn't show in the picture but the strip has blue marbled through it. It's very pretty IRL.
Thanks for stopping by.
Linda I LOVE when that happens! Good for you, and us, too! Both beautiful!

Three a.m. is my favorite time to create..in my head! How fun that you actually remembered your beautiful 1st design and had part of your 2nd design too. They both turned out beautifully. TFS Linda. Hugs
ReplyDeleteTwo FANTASTIC cards Linda!! LOVE your designs and how you've used the feather and the bird with your sweet sentiment on the second card --- perfect --- love the colours too! And your sympathy card is so peaceful and elegant. Great job with the Twofer Challenge. So you design cards in your head in the middle of the night too ... we should start a support group. :) Thanks for playing along with us at the Twofer Card Challenge! xx
ReplyDeleteLinda these are marvelous, and I love both of your designs! That feather is a fantastic stamp, and the embossing on the sympathy card is really lovely. The feathery wreath with its awesome sentiment is just sweet - made me smile! Two great cards. Thanks for joining in the inaugural challenge at the Twofer Card Challenge! Bev
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your mojo worked a miracle for you, Lin, and that this challenge didn't end up being TOO challenging! You sure achieved two awesome card designs. That feather is one of my favorites and it worked so well as both a sympathy card in a lovely plum color and a beautiful wreath for your bluebird! Thank you for the shoutout, support, and friendship, and thank you for playing in Twofer!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteGosh these are so nice! I love the sentiment about birds and feathers. I love the little bird sitting on the circle of feathers. I love the colour you used for the feathers. Love the understated sympathy card too, what a beautiful colour way. There's a trend here then..love your cards!
ReplyDeleteThese are both fabulous Linda! Don't you love it when things work out so well on the first try. Hooray for miracles!
ReplyDeleteYou did great on your two beautiful but very different cards using the same stamp set. That early morning creative thinking happens to me too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one who designs at 3:00AM...sign me up for the support group too!! And yay for miracles...both of your cards are GORGEOUS Lin, and now I'm really jealous that you've come up with two fabulous cards from a set that I've had for FOREVER and have never taken out of the package yet!! Grrrrr!! Your Sympathy card is SOOO pretty and SOOO simple and just PERFECT!! And I love everything about your 2nd card too...CAS, full of color, perfect sentiment, and a great little stripe on the side...LOVE it!! You definitely nailed this challenge Lin!! :0)
ReplyDeleteMe! I need to be in that support group!! But really, some of my best cards are designed in the wee hours!! Lin, love both your cards and how they are each so different and very clever! Way to go girl!!
