Memento's Rose Bud Ink

I just got this set and really like it.  It is my first time inking it up.  Someone used this set in one of the challenges and I had not seen it before.  It is an older PTI set.

Ruth's Birthday 5-28-13

I made this card for a friend that I used to work with before I retired.  The ladies in the office always have a pot luck for the birthday girl.  It is such a nice tradition.  There are only about 6 of us.    It will be this Thursday, so looking forward to seeing all of them since I haven't seen them since February.  I also made her a set of Thank you cards with the Harvest Berries on them.

RELAY FOR LIFE

Saturday, June 1st at 5:00 pm until Sunday morning at 10:00, my family walked in the Relay for Life to raise money for American Cancer Society of our communiity and to honor those we have lost (our mom- 3 years ago) and those who have survived this dreaded disease.  It included my two sons and four of my grandkids, Brad, Kelly, Maddy, Kailey, Avery and Brennan along with my sister Rhonda and brother Frank.  It was a beautiful day on Saturday, but the boys who held the midnight to 7 shift got rained on a bit.

It is a very moving experience.  I spent Friday Night with my sister making these luminaries that were lighted at dusk.  I made the first two and she made the second two.  Needless to say, with aching bodies and blisters we made it with someone walking at all times.
